Declaring Good Old War Headlining Dates

With a new album coming out in late June, Good Old War has targeted July and August for a headlining run.  Tickets for shows in Cleveland, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Dallas and other fine markets go on sale later this week.

Dropping June 30 via Nettwerk Records, Broken Into Better Shape is the new disc from Keith Goodwin and Dan Schwartz. The Philadelphia band recently premiered the second track to be released from the LP – “Broken Record” – via Entertainment Weekly.

Marking the band’s fourth full-length studio album, Broken Into Better Shape was recorded in Nashville with Grammy Award-winning producer Jason Lehning (Alison Krauss & Union Station), Mat Kearney) and mixed by engineer Vance Powell (Jack White, Houndmouth) who also happens to have a Grammy on his shelf.  The first single released from the album was “Tell Me What You Want From Me.”

The band’s spring tour was a reunion of sorts with Goodwin and Schwartz reuniting with drummer Tim Arnold.  The name “Good Old War” is a mashup of the three musician’s last names – GOODwin, arnOLD, schWARtz.  Although Arnold left the band when his wife was pregnant with their first child, his presence is felt on the album via his writing on select tracks.
