John Nolan’s ‘Sad Strange Beautiful Dream’

John Nolan has locked down a late-summer run in support of his second solo album.  The Taking Back Sunday guitarist’s journey begins in Philadelphia and includes stops in New York, Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle and San Francisco.

Arriving July 27, Sad Strange Beautiful Dream features Nolan turning his attention to the state of the world and today’s society.  Nolan recorded the album with producer Mike Sapone (Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Straylight Run).

“Some of it is about what it’s like to be an American right now,” Nolan said.  “I don’t know if it’s just how I feel or if I’ve tapped into anything bigger than myself, but it’s about how I feel as an American in this time and place in history.”
