Mike Portnoy, Richie Kotzen and Billy Sheehan will be spending the fall on the road together. That’s right, we’re talking new dates for The Winery Dogs.

The Winery Dogs features Portnoy on drums/vocals, Kotzen on guitar/vocals, and Sheehan on bass/vocals.

Sheehan’s resume includes a handful of solo releases in addition to his work with acts such as Mr. Big, Talas, David Lee Roth, Steve Vai, Niacin and UFO.

This isn’t the first time Sheehan and Kotzen have shared a lineup. Between 1999-2002 they were both members of Mr. Big. Before that, Kotzen was a member of Poison in the early ‘90s. Kotzen released his 20th solo LP, Cannibals, in January. Sheehan contributed to a few of Kotzen’s solo albums, including 2006’s Ai Senshi ZxR.

You know Portnoy as one of the founding members of Dream Theater. The drummer, who is also a member of Transatlantic and Flying Colors, has recorded, toured or performed with a long list of acts including Avenged Sevenfold, Neal Morse and Adrenaline Mob.

The Winery Dogs is getting ready to record the follow-up to its 2013 self-titled debut.
