‘Cruise To The Edge’ With Yes

Yes tops the lineup on an ocean-going prog-rock adventure that features special guest Marillion and more than 25 bands.  But you’ll need to act soon.  The ship taking you to the heart of the sunrise departs in mid-November.

Called the Nov. 15-19 the round-trip voyage onboard the NCL Pearl taking fans from Miami to Key West and Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas, includes Martin Barre of Jethro Tull, Three Friends and Lifesigns.  Also on the lineup are Allan Holdsworth, PFM, Anathema, Spock’s Beard, Caravan, Casey McPherson, Saga, Bigelf, Moon Safari, Nektar, and many others.  The cruise is hosted by U.K. journalist and Yes expert Jon Kirkman.

The trip promises more than just excellent bands playing from bow to stern.  Activities include the after-hours “Prog Rock Jam” where passengers play instruments to selected songs and “Storytellers” style performances  where musicians discuss writing, recording, band history and other factors shaping their music.  There will also be Q&A sessions, craft beer tasting and a bon voyage sail-away concert Nov. 14.

Of course, there’s music, music and more music.  Cruise To The Edge will feature multiple stages throughout the ship with performances often going into the wee morning hours.

Cabins went on sale this week.  Check out CruiseToTheEdge.com for more details.
