Watch This: Randy Rogers & Wade Bowen
The 10-track Hold My Beer Vol. 1 was released last month. Produced by Lloyd Maines, the LP is described by the guys’ PR rep as “part movie, part joke book, part Western philosophy and, above else, the story of two friends who recognize the value of personal integrity, Saturday night dance parties and a couple of good, stiff drinks.”
Rogers and Bowen take the stage together on Thursday in Austin. The tour continues in July, starting with a gig in Omaha, Neb. The set will feature a mix of acoustic songs and full-band performances, with songs from their collaborative album as well as tunes from their individual catalogs.
“I’m ready to tour this record, we both have lived these songs and continue to do so,” Rogers says.
Bowen adds, “This is always my favorite time of year. … Two buddies hangin’ out playing music cause we love what we do. What could possibly be better?”
