The Sun Shines On ‘Jam In The Van’

Going to a music festival?  You just might see “Jam In The Van,” hailed by its founders as the “world’s first solar powered mobile music studio and performance session platform.”

Started in 2011in Venice, Calif., by Dave Bell, Jake Cotler and Louis Peek, Jam In The Van (“Jam Van” for short) motors across the country hitting festival after festival as it features sessions by established and emerging artists.  Gary Clark Jr., George Clinton, Matisyahu,Misterwives, Blues Traveler, ZZ Ward and Deer Tick are just some of the acts that have used Jam In The Van’s facilities.

But Jam In The Van isn’t just a festival attraction. When not on the road, the vehicle is used to host music events at its Venice home base.  Shows are posted through the week on the Jam In The Van website and YouTube channel.

Sponsored by Lagunitas Brewing Co., Toshiba Electronics, GoPro, MXL Microphones and Orange Amps, Jam In The Van and its founders will rack up more than 10,000 miles this year,  a road journey that translates to more than 200 sessions of subscription-free content.
