Steely Dan Books 2015 Beacon Theatre Dates

Although “Daddy don’t live in that New York City no more,” that’s not going to stop Steely Dan from returning to the Big Apple in October for another run of residency dates at the Beacon Theatre. Select nights will once again feature Dan albums performed in full.

After skipping the Beacon on 2014’s tour, Donald Fagen, Walter Becker and their incredible backing band will be back at the 2,829-capacity venue in October.

Steely Dan wrapped the spring leg of its 2015’s Rockabye Gollie Angel tour with two nights in San Diego April 18-19, following its second Coachella weekend. The group returns to the road in July with special guest Elvis Costello & The Imposters, who is on board from July 6 through Aug. 12.

The Beacon Theatre residency includes two nights devoted to 1977’s Aja. In addition to the title track, “Black Cow,” “Deacon Blues,” “Peg,” “Home At Last,” “I Got The News” and “Josie,” these shows will also feature selected hits.

Or maybe you’d rather see 1976’s The Royal Scam or 1980’s Gaucho brought to life. The residency also includes two greatest hits shows and a “by popular demand” set. The last gig is described as “The Most Unforgettable Night of Whatever – featuring spectacular musical guests, glorious tunes and riffage, and whatever the party calls for!”

Check out the schedule below:

Oct. 7 – greatest hits
Oct. 9 – Gaucho plus selected hits
Oct. 10 – Royal Scam plus selected hits
