Stu Hamm Goes A Thumpin’

Stu Hamm reveals a July journey featuring the acclaimed bassist appearing with his band as well as doing a few solo dates and conducting a couple of clinics.  Destinations include Montreal, New York and Dallas.

You’ve seen his bass expertise shine through during performances by Joe Satriani and Steve Vai.   Now it’s time to get up close and personal with Hamm and his latest solo album, The Book Of Lies, available now.

A favorite among musicians, Hamm’s work can be heard on Richie Kotzen’s self-titled 1989 album, Michael Schenker Group’s 2003 Arachnophobiac LP, and on Adrian Legg’s 1992 release, Mrs. Crowe’s Blue Waltz. Hamm has appeared on several Satriani albums, including Dreaming #11 and Crystal Planet as well as on Vai’s Flex-Able, Passion and Warfare and Fire Garden.  You’ll also find him rockin’ a few tracks on G3 Live In Concert.

Hamm’s solo recording career includes 1998’s Radio Free Albemuth inspired by the Philip K. Dick novel of the same name; 1991’s The Urge and 2010’s Just Outside Of Normal.

Hamm will joined by his band consisting of Testament’s Alex Skolnick on guitar and Joel Taylor on drums for several of the summer dates.  His schedule also includes instructional clinics in Tampa and Atlanta and solo gigs in Texas locales Conroe, Ganado and Dallas.
