MS MR Makes Fall Plans

We’re guessing that the Mr. and Ms. behind MS MR are feeling pretty good, thanks to their upcoming sophomore album and North American/European fall headline tour.

How Does It Feel is due out July 17 via Columbia Records. Last week MS MR – Lizzy Plapinger and Max Hershenow – released the video for the track “Painted.” The duo said the video, which was directed by Tabitha Denholm, was inspired by Stanley Kubrick and the ‘70s documentary “The Secret Life of Plants.”

MS MR has a number of festivals to play before the fall excursion kicks off Sept. 24 in Houston. You can catch the band at Germany’s Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, Australia’s Splendour In The Grass, and Minneapolis’ Go Fest, as well as Lollapalooza editions in Chicago and Berlin.

The act is donating a portion of every ticket sold on the tour to Third Wave Fund.

“We’re thrilled to be able to contribute a portion of ticket sales from the How Does It Feel Tour to Third Wave Fund, a grassroots fund that supports feminist, queer and trans-rights organizations,” MS MR said in a joint statement. “A deep-seated belief in equality, self determination and equal opportunity is at the root of our ethos as a band, and we feel we have a responsibility to bring attention to organizations that work towards those causes. Please read up on the important work TWF is doing in communities around the country and get involved at www.thirdwavefund.org.”
