Mew Sets September-October Run

Mew’s first U.S. headlining tour since 2009 means there will be plenty of the prog band’s audio eye candy blended with cinematic flourishes.  Beginning on the West Coast, destinations include Las Vegas, Denver, Chicago and New York.

Theatres, large clubs and ballrooms are what Mew and its big sound has in store for you as the band supports its latest release, +-, that landed in stores in late April.

Mew recently reunited as a four-piece with bassist Johan Wohlert rejoining singer Jonas Bjerre, guitarist Bo Madsen and drummer Silas Utke Graae Jorgensen.

What does Mew have planned for the upcoming adventure?  Fans can expect video, LED trees and special lighting along with a set list featuring favorites such as “Zookeeper’s Boy” and “Comforting Sounds” along with new songs such as “Satellites” and “Witness.”

“We are thrilled that we will finally be returning to North America to tour,” Bjerre said.  “It’s been too long and we can’t wait to play for our U.S. and Canadian fans.”
