Bruce Solar Joins APA
Bruce Solar, most recently senior VP and head of the Los Angeles office of The Agency Group, has joined APA as exec VP, worldwide music.
“Bruce is one of the most successful and respected music industry executives in the business,” APA President Jim Gosnell said. “I’ve admired his extraordinary talents and leadership for many years, and could not be more pleased to have him now joining our team.”
Solar began his career at Harry Chickles Agency in Boston booking acts like John Lee Hooker and Willie Dixon. In the mid-‘90s he moved to Absolute Artists, overseeing the operations of the boutique agency. He joined The Agency Group in 2001 booking acts like Cake, The Monkees, Psychedelic Furs and other international acts.
He brings with him Cake, The Monkees, Psychedelic Furs, Bootsy Collins and eels.
