Honoring Waylon Jennings

Produced by Blackbird Presents, “Outlaw: Celebrating The Music Of Waylon Jennings” also includes Ryan Bingham, Sturgill Simpson, Jamey Johnson, Lee Ann Womack, Chris Stapleton, Shooter Jennings and Billy Joe Shaver with additional performers to be announced.
Jennings’ widow, singer/songwriter Jessi Colter, along with Keith Wortman, Mark Rothbaum and Freddy Fletcher, are the event’s creators and executive producers. Colter is also on the lineup as a performer. In addition to leading an all-star band backing the artists, Don Was serves as the co-music director with producer Buddy Cannon..
“Waylon Jennings was my friend, brother, and musical soul mate,” Willie Nelson said. “Playing his songs with these incredible artists, is going to be one hell of a concert.”
Tickets go on sale June 16 at 10 a.m. CDT. Ticket purchasers will also have the chance to buy tickets for the exclusive after-party. 100 percent of the proceeds from the event will go to the United Way and will be earmarked to help Central Texas residents most affected by the Memorial Day floods.
