5 Seconds Of Summer’s Clifford Ignites
5 Seconds Of Summer’s set at Wembley Arena ended early last night when flames from a pyrotechnics device set guitarist Michael Clifford’s hair on fire.
London’s Independent reports that Clifford “was apparently caught by a pyrotechnical display on the front of the stage that shot fire into the air and burned him as he walked past it.”
Fan-shot video shows smoke rising from Clifford’s head followed by the guitarist wrapping his head with a towel.
The band’s Calum Hood tweeted “No one ever wants to see your best friend in the state I saw Mike backstage. He’s a trooper and is OK.”
Clifford later posted a photo showing his head wrapped in bandages along with the message, “Hello world. I’m doing OK. 🙂 Thanks For Worrying!”
