The Dixie Chicks Returns To The Road

The Dixie Chicks has planned its first tour since 2013 with a six-date European excursion. Tickets for the spring 2016 outing go on sale this week.

Natalie Maines, Emily Robinson and Martie Maguire launch the journey April 20 in Amsterdam. The rest of the trip is scheduled in England, Scotland and Ireland.

The country group was last in Dublin and London in early 2014 as part of the Country 2 Country Festival.

We’ll have to wait and see whether the biggest female band of all time in the U.S. books a trip through the States next. With the exception of a few one-off appearances in the last few years, the Dixie Chicks hasn’t toured the U.S. since a run of 2010 dates supporting the Eagles. Its most recent U.S. headline tour took place in 2006.

Here’s the plan for Europe 2016:

April 20 – Amsterdam, Netherlands, Heineken Music Hall
April 29 – Birmingham, England, Barclaycard Arena
April 30 – Manchester, England, Manchester Arena
May 1 – London, England, The O2 – London
May 3 – Glasgow, Scotland, The SSE Hydro
May 4 – Dublin, Ireland, 3Arena

Presales begin Wednesday, June 17. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, June 19. Visit DixieChicks.com for more information.
