More Changes: Little Big Town

Little Big Town postpones shows scheduled through late July so that Jimi Westbrook can undergo surgery on his vocal chords.

The country music group posted messages on its website and Facebook about Westbrook’s upcoming gig with a surgeon.

“With heavy hearts we want to let you guys know that Jimi will have to undergo surgery next week to remove a polyp on his vocal cord. As a result, doctors have ordered him to rest his voice and completely recuperate before we continue touring. All shows through July 30th will be cancelled or rescheduled.

“It breaks our hearts to let you guys down, but Jimi’s health is the most important thing and he is expected to make a full recovery with rest and treatment. We will keep everyone updated on Jimi’s progress. Thanks for your understanding and support. – K,K,J & P”

Several of Little Big Town’s upcoming shows are for festivals and fairs and it’s not likely those engagements will be rescheduled.  However, at least four shows have  been rescheduled beginning with tonight’s concert at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre moved to Sept. 10; June 19 at The Mountain Winery changed to Sept. 14; June 20 at Cal Expo in Sacramento switched to Sept. 13; and July 3 at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino & Special Events Center in Indio, Calif., rescheduled for Sept. 11.

The July 11 date for Grand Casino Hinckley in Hinckley, Calif., is listed on Ticketmaster as “canceled.”

Little Big Town’s next scheduled appearance is July 31 at the Delaware State Fair in Harrington, Del.  Visit LittleBigTown.com for more information.
