Lil Wayne was sued by Pyrotek Special Effects in May for allegedly stiffing the Canadian company for some $86,000 over the course of several shows and rehearsals in 2013.

The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in Lil Wayne’s hometown of Miami, Fla., charges unjust enrichment and seeks compensatory damages plus interest and court costs.
The complaint says Pyrotek “lacks an adequate remedy at law as services rendered by Plaintiff were not done pursuant to a contract,” and adds that “Defendant is an international recording artist, performer and entrepreneur who has amassed enormous wealth.”
Invoices submitted as exhibits show that Lil Wayne split some of the permit fees and labor costs with tourmate T.I., who presumably paid his share of the bill.
