Spend New Year’s Eve With Jimmy Buffett

New Year’s Eve is more than six months away but Parrotheads will want to make plans now because the Man from Margaritaville has announced he’s ringing in 2016 with a big show in New York.

After hosting New Year’s Eve sets from acts such as Jay Z and Coldplay, Billy Joel and Elton John, Brooklyn’s Barclays Center has booked Jimmy Buffett.

“Barclays Center has established a tradition of hosting iconic artists on New Year’s Eve,” Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark said. “Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will provide another memorable night as they bring their one-of-a-kind sound to Brooklyn.”

Fans who can’t make it to New York will be happy to hear that “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” will broadcast a special live performance from Buffett.

Tickets go on sale in September. In the meantime, watch “Jurassic World” to catch guest appearances from Buffett and a Margaritaville restaurant.

US Magazine writes, “In a memorable scene from the film in which the deadly flying dinosaurs attack a large crowd, one man is spotted jumping up from his chair, grabbing two margaritas, and rushing to safety.”
