Organizer Autumn Wiggins, who has held the event for 10 years in her hometown, said she wants to spend more time at her St. Louis crafts shop.
Meanwhile, a statement on the city’s website cites “misunderstanding, rancor and conflict” and criticizes Wiggins.
The O’Fallon Arts Commission countered that the city controls the event; Wiggins sent a cease-and-desist letter after the O’Fallon parks department purchased a domain name for the festival’s website.
The fair sells knickknacks like necklaces made of old maps and books formed into decorative letters, according to Metro-East News and will include guitar-and-singer duos on site.
