Nova Happy With New Setup
Nova Rock organiser Ewald Tatar says the new setup on the festival site at Nickelsdorf resulted in the best reaction he’s had from fans in nearly a decade.

Now the two main stages are only 250 metres apart, which was very popular with the audience. The three-day crowd was 125,000, a little fewer than last year, but since starting in 2005 with 105,000, the Austrian fest has consistently done 90 percent business.
Tatar was also happy with the hot weather on the first two days, although that in turn led to the storm that curtailed The Gaslight Anthem’s set on the third.
Other acts playing to the happy fans at Nova Rock June 12-14 included Motley Crue, Die Toten Hosen, Slipknot, Frank Turner, Motorhead, and Nightwish.
