When they heard he’d be appearing at a local liquor store to promote a brand of vodka, residents of Abington and nearby towns lined up hours ahead. Some came from as far as the Boston area. A few camped out the night before.

The Enterprise of Brockton reports 50 Cent visited Billy’s Liquors Saturday to sign bottles of Effen Vodka, a brand he represents. People were able to purchase a bottle or case.

There were opportunities to get a picture with the rapper, but those who purchased a $150 case of the vodka were allowed to take a picture with him on their personal phones.

Police say the event drew about 1,500 people.
