Roger Waters Hosting MusiCorps Benefit
MusiCorps helps wounded veterans with their rehabilitation through learning, relearning and performing music. The organization is based at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, which is located just outside of Washington, D.C., in Bethesda, Md.
The benefit concert – “Music Heals” – takes place Oct. 16 at the DAR Constitution Hall in D.C.
“The work I have done over the last few years with these men and women has been some of the most rewarding work I have ever done,” Waters said.
The Pink Floyd co-founder has served as a mentor to members of the MusiCorps Band and played with veterans at the Walter Reed Hospital.
Tickets for the benefit go on sale Friday, June 26 at 10 a.m. EDT. Visit MusiCorps.net for more information about the charity.
