The Weeknd Sweeps Much Music Awards
The Weeknd was on top at this year’s Much Music Video Awards, taking home four trophies in categories including video of the year, best director, best pop video and most buzzworthy Canadian.

Ed Sheeran came in second for international video of the year and most buzzworthy international artist. Drake, Future and P Reign shared a win in the hip-hop video of the year category, Justin Bieber won the Fan Fave best artist trophy and Shawn Mendes took home the Fan Fave video honor.
Sheeran played double duties as host and performer during the show, and Drake made a surprise appearance with P Reign. Other performers included Jason Derulo, Fall Out Boy, Nick Jonas, and Carly Rae Jepsen.
