Melanie Martinez Sets A Tearful Tour

The first day of July gives you a brand new headlining romp from Melanie Martinez as the singer preps for the release of her debut album and “The Cry Baby Tour” supporting the disc.

Cry Baby drops Aug. 14 and follows her 2014 breakthrough, The Dolhouse EP. You probably have already heard the album’s first single – “Pity Party” – which includes a companion video directed by the former contestant of “The Voice.”

Cry Baby per-orders will include “Carousel,” “Pity Party,” “Dollhouse” and “Soap” as instant gratification downloads on July 24.  “Sippy Cup” becomes available July 31.

Playing mostly clubs, “The Cry Baby Tour” officially begins in Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 26 and includes Boston, Chicago, Denver, Dallas and Los Angeles among its destinations.  Martinez does have a few dates as July turns into August, playing the Valley Bar in Phoenix, Ariz., July 30; The Observatory in Santa Ana, Calif., July 31 and House Of Blues in San Diego Aug. 2.
