Misfits Go Back To The Static Age

Misfits is taking Static Age on the road, with excursions through England and North America featuring the 1997 album in its entirety, from start to finish. Attendees will also be treated to a full set of favorites from the band’s catalog.

The Static Age performances will be accompanied by video monitor backdrops put together by bassist/vocalist Jerry Only.

As a special treat, Misfits will perform 1982’s Walk Among Us and the A side to 1983’s Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood at two stops on the fall tour – New York’s Best Buy Theatre Oct. 27 and the second night at West Hollywood’s The Roxy Theatre Nov. 15.

In other Misfits news, the band announced today that guitarist Dez Cadena, who joined the lineup as a special guest on the 25th anniversary tour in 2001, is no longer with the band. Jerry Jr. will take over on guitar.

The band calls the lineup change a “new chapter” and says, “We all wish Dez the best with his future endeavors.”

Look out for new material from Misfits this fall – two new songs written by Jerry Only called “Zombie Girl” and “Vampire Girl.”
