Ailing Meghan Trainor Reschedules More Shows

Meghan Trainor’s “M Train Tour” was supposed to depart July 3 in Atlantic City. Instead, the pop star was on vocal rest, thanks to a hemorrhage on her vocal cords. And now she has to call off a few more dates.

Trainor won’t be playing Common Ground Music Festival in Lansing, Mich., July 7. The same goes for Detroit July 9 and Chicago July 12. But while Lansing is a festival appearance that can’t be rescheduled, the good news is that new dates have already been set for Detroit and Chicago, as well as previously nixed shows in Atlantic City and Uncasville, Conn.

“I’m feeling much better, have already rescheduled most dates and will come back around to see you all soon!!” Trainor posted on Instagram and Facebook. “Thank you Dr. Kessler for seeing me immediately and being so helpful and thank you guys for all the edits/get well posts you made. You made me feel a lot better about this crappy situation. I love you all so much!!”

Last week Trainor told fans that postponing dates was “killing” her because she had never missed a tour date before. She added that she wanted to heal quickly “so I can show you this amazing tour we’ve been working on. I am truly sorry to everyone who has bought tickets and make travel plans. I hate this.”

The “M Train Tour” is now scheduled to begin July 14 in St. Louis at The Pageant. Here are the rescheduled dates:

Sept. 7 – Uncasville, Conn., Mohegan Sun Arena
Sept. 9 – Chicago, Ill., Aragon Ballroom
Sept. 11 – Detroit, Mich., The Fillmore Detroit
Sept. 13 – Atlantic City, N.J., Borgata Festival Park
