Barclays Facing Suit Over Tumble
The owners of the Barclays Center and AEG, which operates the building, are facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims the arena’s steep and narrow seating rows led to a concertgoer falling on her during a New Year’s Eve concert.
Further, Silver contends Brooklyn Events Center and AEG should have known about the “unsafe and dangerous nature of the seating design based upon the many prior complaints by other patrons.”
At press time, several reviews posted on Facebook did make note of narrow seats in the upper levels. Silver allegedly suffered permanent injuries in the incident, although details were not disclosed in her suit.
