Not-So-Smooth Criminal: Police Say Cash Spilled In Heist

Police say three armed men wearing masks robbed the Walnut Creek Amphitheatre of $500,000, but left a trail of cash that led to at least one arrest.

Multiple media outlets report that police say 22-year-old Adjani Jari Bryant was arrested shortly after Monday’s robbery of the amphitheatre’s business office.

Bryant faces 24 charges, including armed robbery, second-degree kidnapping and conspiracy.

Authorities say a 911 call reported that the office had been robbed. Police say the robbers also took employees’ cellphones and wallets.

Bryant is being held in the Wake County jail. It was unclear if he has an attorney.

Police say one of the backpacks that Bryant was carrying spilled a trail of cash that officers followed to a nearby shed. They are looking for the other two suspects.
