Karl Denson’s Fantastic Fall

I don’t know about you, but Karl Denson is feeling pretty fantastic. The saxophonist extraordinaire has filled in his August-October schedule with U.S. headline dates, including gigs in Colorado, North Carolina and Georgia.

After joining The Rolling Stones’ backing band for the group’s Australia/New Zealand leg of the “14 On Fire Tour,” Denson hit the road with Mick Jagger & Co. once again this spring for the “Zip Code Tour.”

Now the saxophonist is back to doing his own thing as Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe. New dates for the Fantastic Fall Tour begin with an Outside Lands “Superjam” evening set at San Francisco’s The Independent. Aug. 9. Denson is also appearing at the festival at Golden Gate Park that afternoon.

Chuck Leavell appears Sept. 11-12. Earphunk joins the tour Sept. 16 and Sept. 18-19. Sept. 25-26 features Robert Randolph.
