The historic Wellmont Theater in Montclair, N.J., has a new owner in The Pinnacle Companies.

The venue, which was built in 1922, has been closed and will undergo a significant renovation. Live Nation has been tapped to program and manage the Wellmont when it reopens in September.

A music-themed restaurant and bar will be located in a restaurant space adjacent to the theater, and Pinnacle Companies is also pursuing the acquisition of another adjacent building in order to support the long-term success of the venue and the surrounding arts district.
