Aussie Tours: Florence, Bacharach, Shatner

The Australian and New Zealand spring circuit is already starting to heat up.

Florence and The Machine, which wrapped up a July 25 slot at the Splendour In The Grass festival and sold-out theatre shows in Sydney and Melbourne, returns for an extended run this year. Laneway Presents has them at Perth Arena, Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, Sydney Opera House and Brisbane Riverstage with a New Zealand show at Auckland’s Vector Arena Nov. 7-21.

Naughty By Nature kicks off its 25th anniversary celebrations through Abstract Entertainment, Arena Ent and Delta Bravo. The act first visited downunder in 1995 as part of the Cool Naughty Pain Tour with House of Pain and Coolio, and has returned numerous times since. The latest visit takes in seven theatres and clubs Nov. 5-14.

Ron Sexsmith returns after six years for Tombowler, which booked him for five clubs and two festivals Nov. 20-29.

Bluehawk Presents has Burt Bacharach at six theatres Oct. 24 to Nov. 4.

William Shatner’s Broadway show “Shatner’s World We Just Live In It” is here for five theatre dates Oct. 11-17 for Phil Bathols and Liberty Stage.

Destroy All Lines and Chugg Entertainment team UK dance with dance act Tesseract and Australia’s Caligula’s Horse for five club dates Oct. 14-18.

Los Angeles comedian Esther Povitsky, aka Little Esther, does seven Australian and New Zealand shows Sept. 23 to Oct. 1 through Misspelt Youth.
