Ontario Rodeo Promoter Sentenced
The promoter of a rodeo and music festival in Owen Sound, Ontario, that bounced several checks to vendors associated with the event recently pleaded guilty to four counts of fraud.

Jeff Catto and his Muddy Boots Entertainment organized the inaugural Owen Sound Countryfest & Ultimate Rodeo Tour Sept. 26-28.
Police told the Owen Sound Sun Times four local businesses were owed more than $34,000 following the event, which Catto reportedly claimed lost money.
Catto repaid the vendors before entering guilty pleas to three counts of fraud over $5,000 and one count of fraud under $5,000 in court July 9, the paper noted.
Under the terms of the sentence, the promoter will serve 125 hours of community service and pay additional fines.
