Pentagram Books Curious New Dates
The 11-track LP is due out Aug. 28 on Peaceville Records. The group teamed up with Swedish producer Mattias Nilsson for the Curious Volume recording sessions in Maryland and Virginia. In Tennessee, Pentagram worked with Grammy-nominated producer Travis Wyrick, who also produced 2011’s Last Rites.
Pentagram has a handful of summer festival appearances on its plate, including Heavy Montreal on Saturday. The fall tour follows a run of August gigs on the West Coast, with stops in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Santa Cruz, Calif.
“Pentagram is extremely excited about our upcoming tour in the US this fall,” vocalist Bobby Liebling said. “We all are itching to perform some of our songs off of our new album Curious Volume for you. We feel that they fit well within the other heavy numbers from the bands near 45 year history. Of course, the set is packed with the classics you know and love and ones that you may not even expect. Bring your earplugs, we are going to blow off the roof with our curious volume!”
