Wild Night At Wolf Trap

Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts in Vienna, Va., isn’t exactly known for its boisterous audience members or their attacks on police, but that’s what happened at a Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals show at the 7,000-capacity Filene Center.

Edie Toupe was charged after authorities say she hit and spit on a police officer at the July 30 concert, according to WRC-TV.

She was asked by an usher to show her ticket and refused, according to court documents reported by the TV station. U.S. Park Police were called, who discovered Toupe’s ticket didn’t match the seat she’d commandeered.

She was asked to leave and, as she was being escorted out of the venue, she allegedly struck and spit on the officers. Toupe is charged with assaulting an officer engaged in official duties
