Additions: Dead & Company, Joe Walsh, Gregg Allman, Rod Stewart

Dead & Company is sticking around New York for another show … Joe Walsh adds two more nights to his fall solo tour … Gregg Allman continues building his 2016 schedule with a handful of new gigs … Rod Stewart extends his Las Vegas residency through April.

Apparently fans are into the pairing of John Mayer with Grateful Dead’s Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir, otherwise known as Dead & Company. After announcing the new project – and a Halloween concert as its first tour date – last week, a second show has been booked “due to strong ticket demand.”

Both gigs take place at New York’s Madison Square Garden, with the second show Nov. 1.

The group, which will be playing two sets of music largely made up of Grateful Dead tunes, is backed by Allman Brothers’ bassist Oteil Burbridge and “Fare Thee Well” and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.

“We’re not done with these songs and they’re not done with us,” Weir said. “We’re gonna take these old friends on some new adventures.”

An American Express card member presale began today and runs through Thursday, Aug. 13 at 10 p.m. local time. General onsales for both NYC dates are scheduled Friday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. EDT. A number of $50 tickets will be available to celebrate the Grateful Dead’s 50th anniversary. Visit DeadAndCompany.com for more information.

Joe Walsh solo tickets are also in high demand. The Eagles vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist has a new start date to his fall solo tour, thanks to a Sept. 16 gig added in Warren, Ohio, at the W.D. Packard Music Hall. His initial gig at the music hall, Sept. 18, sold out in less than an hour – a new record for the venue.

Plus, Walsh booked an Oct. 8 show at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y., to go along with his previously announced Oct. 7 gig.

Walsh is bringing along his band, featuring Gannin Arnold on guitar, Tommy Simms on bass and Drew Hester on drums. He’ll also be joined by keyboardist/drummer Joe Vitale, who was a member of his early ‘70s act, Barnstorm.

An American Express presale for the second Warren show begins Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m. EDT. Additional presales are scheduled Thursday, Aug. 13. General onsales for both new dates begin Friday, Aug. 14. Visit JoeWalsh.com for more information.

Gregg Allman has booked two nights in Macon, Ga., to go along with the Aug. 7 release of his new DVD/CD, Gregg Allman Live: Back To Macon, GA.

Allman and his eight-piece solo band recorded the DVD/CD on Jan. 14, 2014 at Macon’s Grand Opera House. Of course, Allman Brothers Band fans know the significance of Macon, Ga., as the city where the group began back in 1969.

The CD features 16 tracks made up of Allman Brothers Band tunes, selections from his solo career, and cover songs, while the DVD comes with two bonus tracks and special interview segments.

Allman will return to the Grand Opera House in early 2016 for a pair of shows Jan. 12-13.

He’s also booked two nights in Birmingham, Ala., at Iron City Jan. 5-6.

A presale go Macon begins Wednesday, Aug. 12. General onsales for Macon and Birmingham are scheduled Friday, Aug. 14. Tickets also go on sale Aug. 14 for an Oct. 16 show in Salina, Kan., at The Stiefel Theatre For Performing Arts. Visit GreggAllman.com for more information.

Rod Stewart is having such a great time in Las Vegas that he’s signed on for another run of dates, taking his residency at The Colosseum At Caesars Palace into its fifth year.

With a title like “Rod Stewart: The Hits,” fans know they can expect to hear a bunch of Stewart’s biggest songs, like “Maggie May,” “You Wear it Well,” “Hot Legs,” “You’re in My Heart” and “Do You Think I’m Sexy.” The “ever-evolving” setlist also includes a few R&B tunes and new tracks.
