Brooks, Yearwood To Get Stars On Walk of Fame
Grammy-winning country music couple Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood will get their own stars on the Music City Walk of Fame later this year.
The Nashville Convention and Visitors Bureau announced on Tuesday that the new stars will be unveiled at an induction ceremony on Sept. 10. After a long hiatus from touring, the pair recently moved back to Nashville, Tennessee, from Oklahoma and are currently on tour together.
Mayor Karl Dean noted that Brooks helped raise money for residents devastated by floods in 2010 and said both artists are generous community advocates.
