One Off: Billy Joel & Don Henley
Sept. 20 is when the Piano Man and the Eagles co-founder share a billing. But don’t look for Joel and Henley to rock an arena. For that matter, don’t expect a musical performance, although we wouldn’t be surprised if Henley and Joel come up with an impromptu rendering of a song or two.
That’s because the early evening event will be dedicated to conversation. The location – the Kaufmann Concert Hall at 92nd Street Y in New York – is featuring the artists on its lecture/conversation series. The venue describes itself as a “world-class cultural and community center where people all over the world connect through culture, arts, entertainment and conversation.”
Presented as Joel moderating “a conversation with Henley,” the description posted on the venue’s website states, “Hear them talk about their lives, their careers and about Henley’s Cass County, his first solo album in 15 years, a musical return to his roots.”
Show time is 5 p.m. and ticket prices begin at $65. Click here for more information.
