Rams Head Live! Sold To AEG

The sale is expected to close Aug. 17. Rams Head Group, the venue’s owner, has recently been rocked by charges that former Rams Head Group President Kyle Muehlhauser allegedly recorded women in the restroom of the company’s Savage Mill, Md., location. It’s not yet clear if the club will retain the Rams Head branding.

Reid, the former owner of the NorVa Theatre in Norfolk, Va., was unable to respond for comment at press time.

He and Rick Mersel sold the club to AEG Live in October 2014 and now run the company’s outpost there. I.M.P. became Rams Head Live’s inhouse promoter and booker in December 2008.

“I’m looking forward to working with AEG and Bill Reid. I’ve known him forever and he’s obviously a great promoter,” I.M.P. chairman and 9:30 Club co-owner Seth Hurwitz told Pollstar. “He called me right after it went down and we were both super excited about all the possibilities of how to make this a great situation.”
