Riot Fest In Chicago Sets After-Show Plans

No Doubt, System Of A Down, Modest Mouse, The Prodigy, Iggy Pop, and Faith No More are just some of the acts rocking Chicago’s Riot Fest and Carnival at the event’s new Douglas Park location, Sept. 11-13.

But as any veteran festivalgoer can tell you, magic often happens at a festival’s after-show events. This is your chance to see artists forsake the multitudes to appear in smaller venues where the line separating a performer from the audience is often infinitesimal.

Venues for Riot Fest’s after-shows include Bottom Lounge, Cobra Lounge, Double Door, House Of Blues, and Concord Music Hall.  Here’s the plan:

Sept. 10
The Academy Is… with Mighty Fox @ Double Door (doors open at 7 p.m., show at 8 p.m.)

Sept. 11
Drive Like Jehu with The Poison Arrows @ Bottom Lounge (doors open at 10  p.m., show at begins at 10:30 p.m.)
Taking Back Sunday @ Cobra Lounge (doors open at 10 p.m., show at 11 p.m.)
Government Issue @ Double Door (doors open at 10 p.m., show at 11 p.m.)

Sept. 12
