Lionel Richie MusiCares Person Of The Year

Lionel Richie will be honored as the 2016 MusiCares Person of the Year for his humanitarian contributions to MusiCares Feb. 13.

The announcement was made by MusiCares President Neil Portnow and Bill Silva, chair of the MusiCares Foundation Board. The annual dinner and concert will be held two nights before the Grammy Awards.

Proceeds will support MusiCares, which provides financial, medical and personal need support to musicians.

Confirmed performers are Lady Antebellum, Pharrell Williams and Luke Bryan.
