Today’s announcement comes with the news that Apple has rechristened the multi-night affair in London from iTunes Festival to Apple Music Festival.  U.K. residents will have chances to win tickets via Apple Music.  Performances will be seen around the world via Apple Music Connect.

The extravaganza featuring top-tier artists began at London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts in 2007.  Adele, Beck, Coldplay, Elton John, Foo Fighters, Katy Perry and Paul McCartney are just a few of the more than 550 artists to have played the festival.

With more artists to be announced, the Apple Music Festival will host One Direction Sept. 22; Disclosure Sept. 25; Pharrell Williams Sept. 26 and Florence + The Machine Sept. 28.

And, yes, the artists have something to say about this year’s Apple Music Festival.

“Wow, I’m so grateful to be performing at the Apple Music Festival,” Williams said.  “The Roundhouse is such a historic venue … there’s always a special energy in the crowd.  Thank you for having me!”

“It’ll be great to be back in London and we can’t wait to perform for our fans in the Roundhouse and around the world on Apple Music!  See you there!” One Direction’s Niall Horan said.

“We’re excited to be playing at this year’s Apple Music Festival at the Wonderful Roundhouse,” Florence + The Machine said in a statement.
