The metal band fronted by Dave Mustaine is gearing up to release its 15th studio album, which is being financed by a PledgeMusic campaign. A release date hasn’t been set yet. Earlier this month Mustaine tweeted, “Busy today. Dropping off signed memoirs for Pledge, then heading into the city for mtgs./lessons. New tunes soon. Have a great day!”

As for the name of the LP, Mustaine told a fan on Twitter Thurdsay that it would also be revealed “soon.” Another fan wanted to know the heaviest track on the upcoming release. Mustaine replied, “They all weigh the same,” along with a winking face.

Mustaine’s next stop is Oct. 11 at Loud Park Festival in Saitama, Japan. The Aussie tour begins a few days later in Perth. Here’s the plan:

Oct. 16 – Perth, Red Hill Auditorium
Oct. 18 – Moore Park, Hordern Pavilion
Oct. 19 – West Melbourne, Festival Hall
Oct. 21 – Brisbane, Eatons Hill Hotel & Function Centre

Special guest Children of Bodom is accompanying Megadeth in Australia, as well as Ireland and the U.K. in November.

A fan club presale begins Friday, Aug. 21 at 12 p.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. A limited number of VIP upgrade packages will be available. Visit Megadeth.com for more information.
