SD Music Box
A downtown San Diego concert venue that shuttered in early 2013 is reopening under new ownership as the Music Box.

The building is undergoing extensive remodeling that will increase current capacity from les than 300 to 705, add five VIP boxes and replace an existing bar, the local Union-Tribune reported.
Joe Rinaldi has been named GM and talent buyer for the venue, which debuts in September with performances by Whiskey Myers and Julieta Venegas.
