During a recent meeting, officials noted a stage would make it easier to schedule multiple shows each summer on the beach.
Maroon 5 recently played the beach and Rascal Flatts was scheduled to perform at press time. The CRDA could be speaking too soon, however.
The agency is waiting to see whether Gov. Chris Christie will sign a bill to defund it.
