More Shows From Dead & Company
Featuring Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John Mayer and Bob Weir along with Allman Brothers Band bassist Oteil Burbridge and Fare Thee Well / RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti, Dead & Company announced its birth with one single date – Halloween in New York at Madison Square Garden. That quickly grew to two nights at MSG and now the band has some serious roadwork ahead.
“We’re not done with these songs and they’re not done with us,” Weir said. We’re gonna take these old friends on some new adventures.”
The folks at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center are excited to host Dead & Company Nov. 5 show and included a bit of Grateful Dead trivia with their announcement that details the band’s relationship with City of Brotherly Love. For instance, the band played more shows at The Spectrum (53) than any other act in history. The first time The Grateful Dead played in Philadelphia was Dec. 6, 1968 at the Spectrum when the band opened for Steppenwolf and Iron Butterfly.
