Willie And The Bandits, And the Stowaways

Most bands are worried about their tour bus missing items, but blues rock band Willie And The Bandits ended up with new cargo after playing France – two extra people.

The band was loading up its tour bus on its way back to Britain when it discovered two migrants, with one somehow wedged into a guitar case.

“Have literally just pulled two guys out the back of van just outside calais (France), was filling up and noticed the van move and found one guy just sitting there and the other in my guitar case…” the band posted on Facebook. “Feel really sorry for them to be honest they looked so desperate and only want a better life. Makes you realize how lucky we are sometimes and that we shouldn’t take it for granted!!”

Calais is in the middle of an immigration crisis, with thousands from Africa and the Middle East risking their lives to cross the English Channel.

At least 12 people have died trying to cross, and police are calling for military aid to control the situation. Willie And The Bandits had been on tour in Europe, playing Germany, Belgium and Switzerland over the previous weeks.
