Australia’s First EDM Cruise

The Australian cruise market was the largest growing in the world last year, according to the Cruise Industry Source Market Report, with a record 833,348 hitting the waves.

The Australian rock and country sectors already have their cruises, Rock The Boat and Cruisin’ Country, respectively.

Now the EDM sector enters through Travel Superstore and booking agency 5/4 Entertainment. Sea N’Beats is March 5-8 on a 2,000-capacity luxury liner with seven floating stages.

The 16 acts on board include Peking Duk, Tkay Maidza, Luke Million, Alison Wonderland, Hayden James, KLP, Safia, The Kite String Tangle and Wave Racer. Says KLP, “Aussies sure know how to throw a beach party, throw a boat and an island in there and shit is about to get wild!”

From Brisbane, the cruise heads on the Coral Sea for a one-day festival on an unnamed island before returning. Pricing starts at A$960 ($696.30) per person for a four-person cabin to twin-share suites at A$2,995 ($2172.35), which instantly sold out.
