Christmas With X
Seminal Los Angeles punk band X announces its annual “A Family X-Mas” tour. The West Coast-centric affair begins with two nights in San Diego and concludes New Year’s Eve in Agoura Hills, Calif. Stops in between include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle.
Actually, it’s three-quarters of X plus a very talented axeman. Billy Zoom is still undergoing treatment for bladder cancer. In his place will be Texas guitarist Jesse Dayton who has been subbing for Zoom since he took a medical sabbatical from the band. Along with Dayton, the lineup includes vocalist Exene Cervenka, vocalist/bassist John Doe and drummer DJ Bonebrake.
But don’t go thinking the members of X are sitting around waiting for November to climb back onboard the tour bus. The band has dates booked now through mid-September when it plays the
