The outlaw country icons have teamed up in the recording studio many times before. Past collaborations include 1983’s Pancho & Lefty, 1987’s Walking the Line (with George Jones), 1987’s Seashores of Old Mexico and 2007’s Last of the Breed (with Ray Price).

Django & Jimmie was released in June, hitting No. 7 on the Nielsen SoundScan top albums chart.

“With its fresh, revealing songs, striking harmonies and varying rhythms, it will no doubt be added to the long list of enduring recordings they have each been making since the early 1960s,” Wall Street Journal wrote in its review.
