Workers hose down the floor of the Erawan Shrine after an explosion in Bangkok, Thailand, Aug. 18.
The expo was scheduled to take place Aug. 28 at Central World, a very large shopping complex across the street from the Erawan Shrine site where 20 were killed and 120 more were injured.
The expo was set up to promote Japanese food and fashion, but its main attraction was going to be a concert by the female idol collective AKB48, the biggest pop musical enterprise in Japan at the moment. No makeup dates have yet been announced for the expo.
