Prince Of Tokyo

In line with the New York theatre world’s expansion into other markets, new blockbuster Broadway musical “Prince of Broadway” will premiere at the Tokyu Orb Theater in Tokyo this October and later play in Osaka.

The musical is a kind of stage-bound summation of the career of producer-director Harold Prince, who was chiefly responsible for the success of such classics as “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Follies,” “Fiddler on the Roof” and “Cabaret.”

Songs from many of Prince’s productions will be featured in the show, but it will also contain new material Many famous Broadway stars will act in the production, including Tony Yazbeck and Tony-winner Shuler Hensley. In addition, Reon Yuzuki, a former star for the all-female Takarazuka Revue Company, Japan’s most famous stage musical endeavor, will appear in the play.
